When expectations overwhelm,
stay close to the only one who matters.
Nothing can separate you from My Love. Let this divine assurance trickle through your mind and into your heart and soul. Whenever you start to feel fearful or anxious, repeat this unconditional promise: "Nothing can separate me from Your Love, Jesus."
Most of mankind's misery stems from feeling unloved. In the midst of adverse circumstanances, people tend to feel that love has been withdrawn and they have been forsaken. This feeling of abandoment is often worse than the adversity itself. Be assured that I never abandon any of My children, not even temporarily. I will never leave you or forsake you! My presence watches over you continually. I have engraved you on the palms of My hands.

Isaiah 49:15-16

Do that! Go there! Be this!
When expectations overwhelm,

Thankfulness opens the door to My Presence. Though I am always with you, I have gone to great measures to preserve your freedom of choice. I have placed a door between you and Me, and I have empowered you to open or close that door. There are many ways to open it, but a grateful attitude is one of the most effective.
Thankfulness is built on a substructure of trust. When thankful words stick in your throat, you need to check up on your foundation of trust. When thankfulness flowsfreelyfrom your heart and lips, let your gratitude draw you closer to Me. I want you to learn the art of giving thanks in all circomstances. See how many times you can thank Me daily; this will awaken your awareness to a multitude of blessings. It will also cushion the impact of trials when they come against you. Practice My Presence by practicing the discipline of thankfulness.

Bring me all your feelings, even the ones you wish you didn't have. Fear and enxiety still plague you. Feelings per se are not sinful, but they can be temptations to sin. Blazing missiles of fear fly at you day and night; these attacks from the evil one come at you relentlessly. Use your shield of faith to exteinguish those flaming arrows. Affirm your trust in Me, regardless of how you feel. If you persist, your feelings will eventually fall in line with your faith.
Do not hide from your fear or pretend it isn't there. Anxiety that you hide in the recesses of your heart will give birth to fear of fear: a monstrous stepchild. Bring your anxieties out into the Light of My Presence, where we can deal with them together. Concentrate on trusting Me, and fearfulness will gradually lose it's foothold within you.

Isaiah 12:2

Trust Me in every detail of your life. Nothing is random in My kingdom. Everything that happens fits into a pattern for good, to those who love Me. Instead of trying to analyze the intricacies of the pattern, focus your energy on trusting Me and thanking Me at all times. Nothing is wasted when you walk close to Me. Even your mistakes and sins can be recycled into something good, through My transforming grace.
While you were still living in darkness, I began to shine the Light of My Presence into your sin-stained life. Finally, I lifted you up out of the mire into My marvelous Light. Having sacrificed My very Life for you, I can be trusted in every facet of your life.

In Me you have everything. In Me you are complete. Your capacity to experience Me is increasing, through My removal if debris and clutter from your heart. As your yearning for Me increases, other desires are gradually lessening. Since I am infinite and abundantly accessible to you, desiring Me above all else is the best way to live.
It s impossible for you to have a need that I cannot meet. After all, I created you and everything that is. The world is still at My back and call, though it often appears otherwise. Do not be fooled by appearances. Things that are visible are brief and fleeting, while things that are invisible are everlasting.

Be still in the light if My presence, while I communicate Love to you. There is no force in the universe as powerful as My Love. You are constantly aware of limitations: your own and others'. But there is no limit to My Love; it fills all of space, time, and eternity.
Now you see through a glass, darkly, but someday you wll see Me face to face. Then you will be able to experience fully how wide and long and high and deep is My Love for you. If you were to experience that now, you would be overwhelmed to the point of feeling crushed. But you have eternity ahead of you, absolutly guaranteed, during which you can enjoy My Presence is sufficient to carry you through each day.

Trust Me by relinquishing control into My hands. Let go, and recognize that I am God. This is My world: I made it and I control it. Yours is a responsive part in the litany of Love. I search among My children for receptivity to Me. Guard well this gift that I have planted in your heart. Nuture it with the light of My Presence.
When you bring Me prayer requests, lay out your concerns before Me. Speak to Me candidly; pour out your heart. Then thank Me for the answers that I have set into motion long before you can discern results. When your requests come to mind again, continue to thank Me for the answers that are on the way. If you keep on stating your concerns to Me, you will live in a state ot tension. When you thank Me for how I am answering your prayers, your mind-set becomes much more positive. Thankful prayers keep your focus on My Presence and My promises.

Watch your words diligently. Words have such great power to bless or to wound. When you speak carelessly or negatively, you damage others as well as yourself. This ability to verbalize is an awesome privilege, granted only to those I created in My image. You need help in wielding his mighty power responsibly.
Though the world applauds quick-witted retorts, My instructions about communications are quite different: Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry. Ask My Spirit to help you whenever you speak. I have trained you to pray-"Help me, Holy Spirit"- before answering the phone, and you have seen the benefits of this discipline. Simply apply the same discipline to communicating with people around you. If they are silent, pray before speaking to them. If they are talking, pray before responding. These are split-second prayers, but they put you in touch with My Presence. In this way, your speaking comes under the control of My Spirit. As positive speech patterns replace your negative ones, the increase in your Joy will amaze you.

Stay on the high road with Me. Many voices clamor for your attention, trying to divert you to another path. But I have called you to walk ever so closly with Me, soaking in My Presence, living in My Peace. This is My unique design for you, planned before the world began.
I have called each of My children to a different path, distincly designed for that one. Do not let anyone convince you that his path is the only write way. And be careful not to extol your path as superior to another's way. What I require of you is to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with Me-wherever I lead.

When expactations overwhelm,
stay close to the only one who matters.
Stop judging and evaluating yourself, for this is not your role. Above all, stop comparing yourself whith other people. this produces feelings of pride or inferiority; sometimes, a mixture of both. I lead
each of My children along a path that is uniquely tailor-made for him on her. Comparing is not only wrong: it is also meaningless.
Don't look for affirmationin the wrong places: your own evaluations, or those of other people. the only source of real affirmation is My unconditional Love. Many believers percieve Me as an unpleasable Judge, angrily searching out there faults and failures. Nothing could be farther from the truth! I died for your sins, so that I might cloth you in My garments of salvation. This is how I see you: radiant in My robe of righteousness. When I discipline you, It is never in anger or disgust;it is to prepare you for face-to-Face fellowship with Me throughout all eternity. Immerse yourself in My loving Presence. Be receptive to My affirmation, which flows continually from the throne of grace.
