God's Boxes

God's Boxes

I have in my hands two boxes,
Which God gave me to hold.
He said, "Put all your sorrows in the black box,
And all your joys in the gold."

I heeded His words, and in the two boxes,
Both my joys and sorrows I stored,
But though the gold became heavier each day,
The black was as light as before.

With curiosity, I opened the black,
I wanted to find out why,
And I saw, in the base of the box, a hole,
Which my sorrows had fallen out by.

I showed the hole to God, and mused,
"I wonder where my sorrows could be!"
He smiled a gentle smile and said,
"My child, they're all here with me.."

I asked God, why He gave me the boxes,
Why the gold and the black with the hole?
"My child, the gold is for you to count your blessings,
The black is for you to let go."

Lifes's Storm - poem

Life's Storm...
written by, Samantha E. Fox with the help of the Father!

Life is a storm. Some storms last longer. Some storms are harder to go through. But, everyone goes through a storm.
Sadly, some people are crushed be the swirling water. Some pretend there is no storm, and are taken into the darkness.
Most people swim in the water a lone. They reach out for trees that look tall, strong, and even safe. But each tree they reach for is taken, swept away be the rushing water and roaring wind.Tree after tree they reach for it, until all the trees are gone. It doesn't matter how hard or how long your storm is, everyone comes to a point. During the crashing waves and swirling water. During the raging wind and swirling water. During the roaring and pouring rain, and the darkness. In the midst of the storm, they see The Rock.
Some people pass be the Rock and drown. Some people pass the Rock and are taken. Some people think the Rock is like a tree and will fall, and they to die. But some people reach for the rock, and they can stand! During the dark storm, they hold the Rock. During swirling water they can stand. Through the wind they can stand! The storm may not stop but with the Rock, we can live! The tree may continue to crash, but they can stand on the Rock.
Reach for the Rock! Stop reaching for the tree! Reach for the Rock! DOT LET GO OF THE ROCK!

Some day the sky will grow black with clouds, the winds will roar, and a heavy rain will fall upon you.If you look within your heart, you'll find I've tucked away a few kind words and a good deed or two; a bit of love to keep you warm until the sun comes out again.
