FC (Fun Crafts)

I got this info at http://www.duckbrand.com/Home/Duck%20Tape%20Club/ducktivities/fashion/how-to-make-a-duck-tape-wallet.aspx

Step 18
  1. Okay, so many of you know how to make a Duct tape wallet, so I will start from the part where you add the bow, and latch.
For those of you who do not know how to make one, you can go to my later post were it will show you how.
  2. 2
    Step 2
Cut a piece of duct tape about 4 and a half inches long
  3. 3
    Step 3
fold one edge to about the center of the piece
  4. 4
    Step 4
repeat step 4 and leave a little tiny bit of sticky tape
  5. 5
    Step 5
fold back ant forth in an accordion fashion to make the bow
  6. 6
    Step 6
    it should look like this.
  7. 7
    Step 7
cut a 6.5 inch piece of tape,
  8. 8
    Step 8
    cut it in half, lengthwise.
  9. 9
    Step 9
    fold part way in
kind of like steps 3 and 4, but leaving more sticky space
  10. 10
    Step 10
wrap this around the middle of the bow, about 2-3 times
tightly so it doesnt come apart
  11. 11
    Step 11
Bring the loose end around in a loop,
and secure with another small piece of tape
  12. 12
    Step 12
add another piece of tape to the back of the loop, secure to the front of the wallet, close to the opening side
  13. 13
    Step 13
cut a piece of tape, about 3-3.5 inches and fold the corners in of only one side
making a kind of elongated trapezoid
    this will be your latch
leave a little bit of the sticky part at the end
  14. 14
    Step 14
reinforce this with a few more layers of tape
  15. 15
    Step 15
attach the latch to the back side of the wallet.
cover it with another layer of tape , to make sure the latch doesnt fall off
if you want to, you can also add one to the other side of the latch, connecting the inside of the wallet to the latch, making it more secure
  16. 16
    Step 16
this is what the latch should look like after the extra tape is added.
  17. 17
    Step 17
    this is the latch, completed

    1. 18
    Step 18
